Congress candidate Munirathna continues to lead by 46,593 votes after 12th round of counting. The constituency saw a voter turnout of 54 per cent in all 471 polling stations on Monday. The voter turnout was slightly lower than Bengaluru Urban’s average of 54.72 per cent. EC postponed the polls following allegations of "fake" voter ID scam in RR Nagar.

The results for the Rajarajeshwari Nagar (R.R. Nagar) assembly elections will be declared on Thursday. The constituency saw a voter turnout of 54 per cent in all 471 polling stations on Monday. The voter turnout was slightly lower than Bengaluru Urban’s average of 54.72 per cent. Earlier, the Election commission (EC) postponed the polls following allegations of "fake" voter ID scam emerged just ahead of Karnataka Assembly elections 2018.

EC directed the police to investigate the matter which registered cases against many people including the Congress candidate Munirathna. Prime contenders in the fray are BJP’s Muniraju Gowda, G. H. Ramachandra of JD(S) including 11 other candidates. There are a total of 4.71 lakh voters in the constituency including 2.25 lakh women.
