Chartered Accountants have a major role to play in educating and helping the industry and the general public in coping up with GST and impact in the society – said Shri Hibi Eden, Hon’ble Member of Parliament. He was inaugurating the one day “CPE Seminar on GST Returns and Audit ” organized by the Ernakulam Branch of ICAI at Hotel Renai Cochin, Palarivattom, Ernakulam. He said that in his opinion GST was enacted in a hurried manner and though it was announced as a good and simple tax, it is actually not so.

The seminar covered topics on “Demystifying GST Annual Return (Form GSTR-9)”and “GST Audit and simplified returns GST 2.0”. The sessions were led by CA. P.T. Rajeev, Chennai and CA. Shankara Narayanan, Chennai.
