Watch: A lift in ties as PM Modi, Joko Widodo fly kites in Jakarta

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Indonesia Tuesday night, was seen flying kites with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at a kite exhibition in Jakarta. “The Leaders welcomed the conclusion of the MoU between Layang-layang Museum Jakarta and Kite Museum of Ahmadabad and noted with appreciation the holding of the First Joint Kite Exhibition at National Monument in Jakarta,” it said. Modi met with Widodo at the Merdeka Palace — one of the presidential palaces in Indonesia’s Jakarta — and was accorded a red carpet welcome on his arrival. He also visited Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
